Tefal ActiFry Low Fat Electric Fryer

The Tefal Actifry Fryer is one of this kitchen gadgets that don’t come around everyday, but as with Tefal’s other items in their appliances range it is just that little bit quirky. The Actifry cooked up a bit of a storm (did you see what i did there) over the christmas period and it was certainly one of the years best selling christmas gifts.

So what is the fuss about? The Tefal ActiFry Low Fat Electric Fryer is a revolutionary new product which allows you to enjoy tasty, traditional, home cooked chips, but at the same time stay healthy and feel good about what you are eating. By using just one spoonful of oil you can make 1kg of homemade chips, which is enough to feed a family of four. That one spoonful is 100 times less than a traditional deep fat fryer, which not only means that your food is substantially more healthy, but it is also more economical and is also 100% safe, unlike some traditional methods of frying.

Simply load up to 1kg of freshly cut chips into the Actifry, drop in a measure of your preferred oil using the spoon provided and set the timer, the Actifry does the rest, just wait for the timer to end and the alarm to sound.

I am lucky enough to own one of these beasts and to be brutally honest……..I quite like it. Not only am I sold on the health benefits, but in its own robotic way the Actifry is actually quite cute. Watching your chips go round in circles is funny to say the least, just don’t stare for too long or you’ll get dizzy.
