No strangers to DIY coffee machines, the entire office agree that value for money is amazing with the KP210240 Coffee Machine by both Krups and Nescafe. Having graduated from a Nespresso machine we value the way that Dolce Gusto gives you much more flavour experience and options. We previously hated the lack of a decent Cappuccino frother on our Nespresso machine, but with the special Dolce Gusto double cappuccino pods you can make perfect blends every time.

The NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto system from KRUPS uses the kind of high pressure normally found in professional machines. Simply lift the lever, pull out the pod-holder and pop in a specially designed capsule of 100% arabica, roast and ground coffee. Push the holder back, press down the lever and you’ll hear a pop. Move the knob to hot or cold and hey presto! Great tasting connoisseur coffees in a matter of seconds. You can even choose exactly how strong you want your cup.

We will never deny the quality coffee produced from the Krups Nescafe Dolce Gusto KP210240 Coffee Machine – Ivory (more colours available), but there is one drawback for serious coffee lovers……No more different coffee bean blenss which other machines are well known for.

Best Price Available From: Amazon >>

Apparently there is a science to coffee grinding…news to me, but I am sold! Not only is this the sort of gadget you can use to elevate you in to a coffee connoisseur but according to the science presented by Tefal the grind of a coffee bean can affect the taste of the coffee.

If the grind is too coarse the coffee will brew too slowly, and flavours will not fully develop, if it’s too fine the coffee will lack aroma and tend towards bitterness. Too much grinding is as bad as too little for perfect coffee only just right will do. Different coffee machines work best with different grind sizes so what works well in a cafetiere will produce dreadful coffee in an espresso machine.

Available from Amazon – Click Here

The Krups Twin Blabe Coffee Mill features:

Twin cutting stainless steel blades which whirl and chop the coffee beans

Versatile unit grinds all kinds of dry spices (cinnamon, pepper, coriander…)

Single speed

Stainless Steel bowl

Large grinding capacity yields up to 15 cups of coffee / 85 g of coffee beans

180W

Oval shape for uniform, even grinding

Lid activated safety switch – coffee grinder is not working until lid is locked in place

All this for less than £20 at Amazon.co.uk makes this not only one of the cheapest coffee grinders available, but one that is as stylish as those twice the price. I ordered mine and love it, I often just grind beans for the fun of it.

Many are so refined for certain tasks that you often need to know exactly what kind of brew you want from the machine before even deciding which one to purchase.

The De’Longhi BCO255 Combi machine, offers the user a wide range of coffee, from Espresso to Cappuccino to Filter Coffee. Unlike the more traditional Steam combi machines, the BCO255 is a Pump Driven Combi machine, therefore it guarantees a higher quality cup of coffee every time. Easy to use and even easier to clean, the BCO255 is the ideal product for anyone who enjoys coffee.

Another worry that many potential owners have is that they will need to treat their machine with kid gloves…….well with the BCO255 you can safely enjoy great tasting coffee without having to worry if it will be the last your machine produces.
